School ponics

That was the plan
Then the kids got building. After 4 weeks of hard work, seedling where planted. And now (8 weeks from the beginning, a misunderstanding and a spring break dry-off later) this is how it looks. We where able to place the systems in a classroom that has large windows to the west and that is used for small group work.

The Compost Tea fertilized system:

In this system is fertilised using compost tea, every week some compost in thrown into a paint stainer bag and steeped in the reservoir for about 10 minutes.














The Hydroponic System:

This system is fed with a commercially available fertilizer.
